I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, phobias, depression, trauma-related disorders, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I strive to provide a collaborative, inclusive, and compassionate therapeutic environment. My goal is to empower clients with practical tools to manage their mental health effectively.
Education & Background:
I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida State University as a Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society and prestigious Fellows Society member. Before that, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida, where I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Behavioral Science and Communication. I have since remained dedicated to learning and professional development, gaining specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, clinical assessment tools.
About Me:
After moving to Orlando from New Jersey 20+ years ago, I call myself a naturalized Floridian. My professional journey began in the financial sector, where I developed skills in leadership, advocacy, and relationship-building. But, as much as I enjoyed numbers and spreadsheets, my real passion has always been people—so I made the leap into the social work field, and I’ve never looked back.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked at a youth homeless shelter, where I supported young people in crisis by providing safety, guidance, and emotional support. My dedication to serving others also extends to my volunteer work at the Victim Service Center and AdventHealth Hospice, where I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of their most challenging moments. These experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, grief, and resilience, shaping my compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy. Outside of work, I love to travel and have even lived abroad. I enjoy exploring local tea shops and bookstores, tackling DIY projects, and experimenting with gluten-free dessert recipes—some more successful than others. Most of all, I cherish time with my family, who keep me grounded and remind me to embrace life’s little adventures!
